MSN Installation Problem
I am trying to run MSN from my work computer and it is not working. The system is Windows 95. I do not know whether they have a fire wall, although I assume that they do.
I first tried to install Messenger 6.0 and it came up saying something about 1603. So I have now installed version 4.6. Which did install... yeah.. but, when I try and run it comes up saying Socks 5 proxy authentication failed. Check the Socks 5 settings for User name and password on the Connection tab.
I then go into the connection settings and it comes up normally but says (in the little section underneath the proxy stuff) you are currently NOT connected to .net messenger service.
Can someone please help me out?!
Thanks,
Tranquility
