Please help me with my MSN Mess

I think I fixed the problem. I went into my norton. Made sure I had all the setting right so MSN could access them computer. However I didn't have the right port listed. It seems to be working just fine now after I opened port 6553, and 6900. Who would of thought, because it worked fine before using 4.0 when I didn not have those ports open.

I'd like to think I know what I'm doing with computer, however this just goes to show I don't. Darn it anyway.

Here is the question.

I uninstalled MSN 4.0 and installed MSN 6.0 Now for some reason I can not log in at all. I have gone to the site and it said everything is working fine. I have rechecked to see if I am reg as a .net passport member. I have gone into my hotmail account to see if I can get in that way . However nothing seems to work.

I'm using XP. Does anyone have an Idea where I might have gone wrong or what I might be able to do to fix this problem. Thank you for your time.
