Patch to remove Ads from MSN Messenger (and recover space)

I found this link to patches to remove ads from MSN messanger

I download the patch for MSN Messenger version 6.0.0.602 and it work great BUT

Is there a similar patch to remove ads and recover the space from Windows (XP) Messanger (6.0.0.602)?

Messenger Plus! from www.msgplus.net has the option to remove ads from all versions of MSN/Windows Messenger.

Thanks for your post and reply.

The first thing I hated about the Wnidows or MSN Messenger is the fact windows aren't minimised to system tray. Does Messenger Plus do this?

Yes and no. The boss protection feature of Messenger Plus! does this, however, it also hides all conversation windows then. Maybe you should just give a try and see for yourself Incognito. It's freeware and trying it won't hurt. But, keep your eyes open when you are at the license agreement screen. Doing the obvious isn't always the best thing to do.
