Microsoft retires Netmeeting
SAN FRANCISCO - Microsoft is retiring its six-year-old NetMeeting online conferencing application and instead will push Office Live Meeting, formerly known as PlaceWare, for online meetings.

We started using Netmeeting on project work back in 1996. We collaborated with clients in Africa, the US and the next cubicle. Netmeeting lit the spark for many of us who were striving to innovate and improve. I will miss it.

Those jerks! What about people who don't have or want MS Office? I have no plans to buy Office XP because Word 97 still works fine for me.
