Msn Messenger Signing In Problems

Hi

I am having probelms signing into msn messneger , this only started today.

I keep on gettting this messege everytime i try to sign in.

We were unable to sign you in to the .NET Messenger service, possibly because of a probelm with your internet connection, please try again later. 0x81000370I have uninstalled msn messenger 6.0 and then i have downloaded msn messenger 6.1 and installed that but the problem is still there.

I know it isnt my password because i can sign into my msn hotmail account on www.hotmail.com. I have also used e-messenger.net and have been able to sign in.

Its just when i try to sign in with msn messenger. I have tried to sign in manually by typing in my password but i keep getting the same messege.

If anyone can give me any advice on how to sort this problem out i would be grateful. Thanks

Hi, I used to have that problem with MSN 6.1, signing-in probs. But I had 4 different Messenger/Hotmail "accounts" and i found out that it was a problem with my password - they all had very similar passwords - I changed my password and it worked. Also, if you have Yahoo! Messenger it conflicted-because it recognised there were 2 different IM programs i ditched Y Messenger and then re-installed them bith (the password prob. came back again) and then re-installed Yahoo and MSN again in that order

Hope this is of vague use!

Sorry i didn't read your actual problem!!
About intenet connections!!
Yeah-it may possibly be because -did you tell MSN 6.0/6.1 to AUTOMATICALLY start-up as soon as the dial-up was complete? That can also lead it to buggering up-because it tries to sign-in -MSN this is. But it can't due to the Modem or however you connect to the net not being "plugged in"
My sentances sound odd- in a weird word order-but oh well-you get the jist of it!

Hi

Thanks for your reply

I finally managed to sort out the problem. I ran ad aware the spyware program and removed all of the spyware on my pc then deleted msn messenger and all removed it from the registry and then rebooted and installed msn messenger 6.1 and it finally worked.

Hooray! It worked for you at last!
I have Yahoo too - but that hasn't been a problem so far!
