my MSN was hacked

i think my friend may have changed the password on my email account, but I dont really know how to prove it.
i got the person to send me an email back from my old account so I got ahold of their ip address which is 24.64.223.205. the friend I think who did it has the ip address of 24.64.223.204. could this just be a coincidence, or is it possible the hacker was my friend?

That probably is your friend, if he is running ADSL internet there is a good chance he can get a range of 5 IP addresses as pasrt of the internet package and they usually range like this for an example:
24.64.223.205
24.64.223.204
24.64.223.203
24.64.223.202
24.64.223.201
or something like that, so you can be sure it is your friend(dunno why you refer to him as friend)
