Forgot MSN Password & Secret Question Answer

I hate to bring up old topics, but I have the same Q, no password or secret Q answer, yet the link thats supplied by DangerBoyuseful doesnt seem to be working.

I have searched the Passport and Hotmail sites and cannot find such a link that seems to be as useful as that old link once was.

Is there any other way of gaining access to my account, ie throught cookies as I can still automatically sign in through MSN?

Unfortunately, it looks like Microsoft removed the Reset Password form for unsubscribers. If you do happen to have an MSN subscription, you can Reset your Password using your billing information here. You will now have to rely on creating Secret Questions that you can actually answer in order to reset your password. But hold on now, a new method is here for those who forgot the secret question as well...An alternate e-mail address can also help you reset your password. If you forget your password and the answer to your secret question, your alternate e-mail address allows MSN to send you password-reset instructions at an account that you can access. Here's how to add an alternate address.

I went onto the add/cahnge alternate email address, it still seems to want my password re-typed, even wen I am signed into the passport (through MSN Messenger). Is there anyway of getting round that? Any suggestion?

I imagine you are supposed to set that up before you lose your password.

The free version doesn't seem to be on any help, the message that I have been getting is:

"Sorry, the passwrod has been found but is longer than 3 characters, to recover it, please consider purchasing full version of AIMPR"

Aren't all passwords longer than 3 characters anyway?

The free version is just a tease to prove that it works. No one has a 3 character password. It's telling you it's found it, now just fork over the cash to get it. Unfortunately this may be your only option at this point. If you ever do recover it, make sure you create an alternative email address so it doesn't happen again.
