er, so if you can get into Hotmail, why don't you change it?
Hello,
For the longest time, about 5 months now, I have tried to recall my password and my secret question answer - but I just cannot remember them! Pretty silly? The only way I can sign on to my messenger, or my Hotmail e-mail account, is to click the MSN Messenger sign-in button, which logs me in automatically. I understand this poses as the bigger problem for most people using MSN Messenger; being automatically signed-in. And here's another reason why! I haven't been able to practice so-to-speak manually typing in my password for the last year! I have tried numerous times forwarding my password trouble to the default Hotmail Netscape/Passport troubleshooters' help e-mail address, but to no avail; I have not yet received any replies.
If anyone can help me with any information regarding MSN Messenger password retrievals, it would be greatly appreciated. Is it even possible through the regedit application on Run?
Thank you.
EJ

Hi....
The exact point I'm trying to make!It signs me in automatically.
Now the only time I or anyone has to type in their password, without having it done for them automatically, is if they're signing on from another computer, other than the one they installed their MSN Messenger on. And thank you for pointing that out about signing on to Hotmail - again, I can only log-on through being automatically signed-on my MSN Messenger. If I wamted to check my Hotmail e-mail account outside my house, say on someone else's computer, I cannot...... because like I mentioned in my original post, I cannot remember my password nor my secret question answer.... because of the past years' of being signed on automatically.. geez how many times is that word dictated in this forum lol
PLEASE HELP, ANYONE - is there any way to get my password or change it, rightfully?
Netscape/Hotmail/MSN help please?

Sign into MSN Messenger, then click to open your email inbox. Once in there, go to your mail options, and change it.quote:The only way I can sign on to my messenger, or my Hotmail e-mail account, is to click the MSN Messenger sign-in button, which logs me in automatically.
.... no can do, first you need your original password - you have to type your original password. See the situation I'm in? Isn't there anyone else who's ever lost their password on MSN Messenger but can't afford to just move on and open a new account because they value their contact list?
Well, if your worried about your contact list, you can save it. Once you create a new .NET passort, all you have to do is import them to the new account. Usually they don't all get added the first time, so try it again, and it adds the ones it didn't the first time.
When signed in, click Contacts then hit Save contact list, save it to your desired location. Once you are signed into the new account, go to Contacts, then hit Import contacts from a saved file .
As for recovering your lost password, I don't think you will be able to get it back.
Try this form - Reset Your Hotmail Password
Hope you didn't fake your contact info, cuz if you did you are screwed. Sign up for a new account.
Detn8r, who are you telling to read?
Perhaps you should actually visit the link Dangerboy suggested. It doesn't require the secret question's answer, and is probably the best answer so far. Just fill in as much info as you can to prove its your account and MSN will reset the password. Should be quite easy, especially if you have (create) some custom folders in your hotmail account. Hint, hint.
