For your 1st question. The delete button is disabled (or shaded out) because the person who your trying to get rid off from your block list and allow list, hasn't deleted you from their list. When that person deletes you from there list, that option will be enabled and you can finally delete them from your list.

For your 2nd question, i'm not sure why you have to keep putting your password in, if you set it up to sign you in automatically.

Because when I exit from MSN messenger and ONLY go to hotmail inbox with browser opening, it asks my password. Hope that makes sense.
