MSN Messenger - Audio conversation - voice problem

Hallo

I have a problem. I want to talk to my boyfriend who is in Belgium (I am in the US) through the audio conversation (We don't have a webcamera, we just want to talk to eachother like on the phone). We can connect and I hear him, but he does not hear me. I see that my microphone works, because on my screen I see the green go up and down while I am talking. My friend also sees that I am talking because his green also goes up and down, but he can't hear me. There is nothing wrong with his sound, because he can listen to music on his computer. Anybody who knows how to solve this problem
