Sound problems with MSN Messenger.....

I use MSN Internet and Messenger 6.2 and the other day I tried to change the sound that the messenger makes when I get a new e-mail, the sound didn't work even though the preview worked fine. I tried to change the sound back to the default setting with no luck. Is there anyway I can get my new sound to work, or at least get the default working?

Forgot to mention that the other sounds in MSN Messenger (i.e. contact signing in, out and messaging) work same as normal.
