No MSN contacts on signup

I have found today that MSN messenger/ PLUS cannot find any contacts for me at all. This message is displayed at the top of the window at sign in (as if it is the first time I have used to programme): Your contact list (shown below) does not yet have anyone in it. Click Add a Contact below to start creating your list.

I receive notifications of new emails, but all of my contacts have gone. Also, this is only for some of my accounts - two out of four of my Hotmail accounts are fine, and the contacts are all there!

Oh, I use MSN 6.2 and Windows XP and ME. I also use MSN Plus.

Are you sure someone hasn't gained access to your passowrd, and deleted them?
Try going to Tools > Options > Privicy Tab. To you have any contacts within here?

Yes, they are all there. I have just checked that. I have added a few back to see, signed out, and back in again, and the few I added back are gone, even though they are all still in the list!

o.O I have personally never heard of Messenger doing this.
Try downgrading back to 6.1, and see if it resolves the problem. If so, we can rule that it may be a 6.2 bug possibly. Unless someone else hear knows of any solution, you may wish to contact MSN about the problem. If you get a response, please do post back what they said to help other members that may have the same situation as you.
