0x81000303 Error Solution
If any of you are having trouble logging on to messenger and you get the error about a "bad sign in name and password reset your password blah blah blah" here's the solution:
Exit Messenger, Click Start->Run-> and then type in: regsvr32 softpub.dll Click OK. That's it. Re-open messenger and log-in. This solution also applies to all those people that cannot access ANYTHING MSN (that is, you can't register for a new passport, access any websites etc). Hope it works for you too. |

Hi there,
I actually think someone has got into my account and changed the password, as I also cant get into my ebay account, and I had details about that within my hotmail. I think some fraud is happening. I have emailed ebay and hotmail as they have no phone numbers but still no replies. Any other ideas? |

Spudthemofo you are a HERO
![]() I've been smacking my head against this problem, no secure sites, no MSN. I used AdAware to remove a bunch of stuff, I used Bazooka to remove stuff that AdAware didin't think important enough, but still nada. Even removed ZoneAlarm and McAfee (no great loss on the latter), but still nowt. And then I read your post ![]() Thank you soooooooooo much |

Hi,
I cannot access MSN messenger and it says "you cannot sign in because of a problem in your .NET passport account" and it gives the error of 0x81000303. and in the box it also says that for more info.about .NET passport website click ok. When I did that, a website occured, saying that ".NET passport couldn't do your request temporarily. please try again later." I also couldn't sign in from my friend's PC.It gives the same error from his PC also. But he can sign in to his MSN account and we live at the same house using the same broadband connection. So it's got nothing to do with the internet connection or with my laptop. It's solely about my individual MSN messenger account. But I don't why that happened, and I cannot solve this problem. I tried the solutions that were suggested in this forum but none of them worked. Do any of you have any idea to solve this problem or do you think this is really only a temporary problem about my MSN server. I'll appreciate it a lot if any of you can give me any kind of alternative solution. Thanks a lot in advance. Ece. |
