Help me please!! MsnMsgs.msi

Hey everyone!
Im having mega big problems with my msn, I've been reading about your previous posts on the file msnmsgs.msi and I too am having the same problem. My MSN has been working for years and all of a sudden I "apparently" don't have the file msnmsgs anymore and I'm not sure how to get it back! Does anyone have any idea because im terrible woth computers..Im sure they're out to get me! I've tried undowloading my current msn-6.2, only it will not allow it. Does anyone know any other way I can remove MSN from my computer and download it again? Or how I can just download msnmsgs.msi again?? pleaseeeeeee!

It was weird how mine worked out...but I had the same problem a little while ago. I went into Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs and scrolled down to MSN Messenger. I then clicked 'Change' and it brought up a screen of choices that I think were Repair, Uninstall, or Install..I can't quite remember. Anyway, I tried clicking repair and it said it needed that damn .msi file. I downlaoded the SAME version of MSN that I was having problems with, opened it and it brought me to the selection screen again. I clicked Repair and it did what it was supposed to do. It then let me cleanly uninstall it and reinstall it and MSN worked fine again.
Sorry for such a lengthy response...but I hope it helps. If it doesn't go to the repair screen the first time repeat the steps it might work.

sg: Do you have a problem with not reading what people write before trying to help? I suggest to calm down, and reread posts two, five, hell 100 times more.

Emzie, as said above, what you need to do is:

Hit Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > Find MSN Messenger, and remove it > Go to www.messenger.msn.com and download a fresh copy.

It is in changing we find purpose

msnmsgs is actually Windows Messenger not MSN messenger.

so you might wana pop up windows xp cd in your drive and go into control panel, then go to here you can uninstall/install software and there should be an option to add windows components or sumthing. if you go there there'll be a box where you can select WINDOWS MESSENGER.

in the mean time you can use MSN messenger for free online here:
