Fighting a 0x81000303 error -are they all fixable?
Hi all,
(MSN 6.2) I'm currently struggling against a 0x81000303 error. I have read the posts here and google groups about possible fixes. I just wanted to check that I'm not wasting my time banging my head against a brick wall and this error is actually solvable. Things are bit more complex as its all wireless. My situation is this - Originally, the system was a wireless daisy chain: I====PC1-------PC2. I: Internet =: Wired Link (USB) -: Wireless Link PC1: Win ME PC2: Win 98Se MSN wouldn't work on the second pc. On my advice they have since purchased a wireless router - (as I didn't have much faith in the daisy chain scenario for something like MSN. I had tried running a proxy server on PC1 but that didn't help either.) Now the set up is: I====WIRELESS ROUTER---------PC2 | | PC1 But I'm still getting the error on PC2, tho the rest of the net works fine. I can solve this right, with some time and effort...? Nath |
