MSN won't let me...do anything really...

Hi,

I'm using MSN 6.2 on windows XPpro (sp2), connected with a router.

MSN signs in ok, but when I go to talk to anyone (well, chat) their display pic won't appear, they don't get any of my messages, I don't get any of theirs, which is a bit of a pain.

It's been this way since I got this computer (a month or so ago) and it works ok on the other computer. I'm using trillian just now, which works fine, but i'd like to get MSN working again.

i'm also using NIS 2002, which i've tried disabling...

Lets compare the two computers, if its working on one computer, then look at the differences between the two. If you can somehow get the configuration of both computers similar, maybe that will solve the problem.

yeah, ive tried reinstalling it several times...

i can't find any difference between the two computers, which is a tad annoying really...

just to make my problem so much more fun........

it's stopped working on both computers now...
it works when the other person is using an older version of messenger...

everything else on the computer works fine, i've tried reinstaling it, i've also tried installing msn7, which is still the same...

i like trillian...but i'd rather have MSN working...
