Yeah, but that is probably nothing more than an automated response. It is one of the email templates that MS sends to you several hours after you wrote a bug report.

It's got nothing to do with the build. If you want to check, you can download previos versions of Messenger, or the newest BETA 7 version. When this was happenning to my msgr, I must've tried 3 different versions. It is more to do with your MSN profile, and right now, something is preventing email alerts.

Still, doesn't hurt to let them know. Hopefully it'll get sorted out soon.

it seems my issue has been resolved. after countless messages with MSN support http://messenger.msn.com/Help/ and countless messages with HOTMAIL support http://www.hotmail.msn.com/cgi-bin/support .. no idea what was the problem .. but I don't care no more. the issue is resolved. just bug the living hell out of them if you have the same problem as I did. I guess that's the only way.

I had the same problem for about a month and a half. I just installed new Windows updates for XP Pro today (12/15) along with the cumulitive security patch for Outlook Express and now MSN Messenger reports e-mails in my hotmail inbox perfectly. Seems as though Microsoft fixed the problem.
