Hmm, I know that MS pulled the MSN 7 Public Beta D/L Release page yesterday, but I have just gone to the above link, and get this again:

"The page cannot be found
The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

HTTP Error 404 - File or directory not found."

EDIT***

Just found out my issue with the official MSN 7 Beta Download Site, was with an older 6.2 MSN IP addy that was in my WinXP SP2 Host file...

Deleted it, and ran FastNet99 app, and all was fine...hecl I even D/L the 7.0.0425 app from the link you provided to see if the Win32-Cabinet Self-Extractor & File Version were any different from the BetaNews D/L...both the exact same..

Hmmm, no biggie as I have access to other non-official D/L links, but I have my Norton Firewall properly configured and in both IE6 SP2 & FF 1.0 (both have been set to allow pop-ups from):

http://messenger.msn.com

no success with a official working MSN 7 Beta D/L link...lol

Got it @BetaNews FileForum link... Now I have to explore Messbe, for the various Ad Remover patches...lol

Aplogies for the double posts, but after reviewing the various 'patches' @Mess.be for 7.0.0425, I was curious about feedback regarding the two patches available:

1. Mess Patch 7.0.0332
Description: Allows you to patch MSN Messenger 7.0.0332 BETA with the following options: enable polygamy, install custom games, remove the (beta) tag and restore your custom content from 6.2, disable nudges, enable multiline nicknames, remove add contact label, remove MSN search bar, remove banner ad, show enable/disable tabs checkbox, remove MSN today button, fix nickname length, NEW: add additional display picture sizes, NEW: select sign-in status from system tray,
NEW: Remove white (text ad ) space from conversation windows.
Creator: Rolando featuring theunknown, Koen, TheBlasphemer & Windows X
Version: 7.0.0332 BETA (2nd Mess Patch version)

I see that ladie_vennom mentions this patch will work for 7.0.0425 on her thread...

2. Patch! for MSN Messenger 7.0.0332
Description: This cosmetic patch removes the MSN Today button, the Search bar, the advertisement, the actions pane (eg. add contact) and the (BETA) tag (the latter usually brings back your previous MSN Messenger 6 custom emoticons, display pictures and backgrounds).

I know that Rolando does very nice work, and theunknown is member/Moderator of a couple of the 'Emulation Forums' that I frequent...lol, plus I have him on my 'Contact List'...

As mentioned above:

I was curious about feedback regarding the two patches available:
From members here who have applied them...As with any type of patch (especially with a still Beta app) it is always nice to get various opinions, issues that any members experienced, ect...

Issues... none for me personally. Opinion? As an official beta tester for MSN Messenger, I will admit that I get annoyed with the features that were included. The patches did a nice job cleaning up Messenger.

detn8r,

Thank you for your input, as I have just chatted with 'theunknown' who is one of the coders who works closely with Rolando, the creator of the MessBe patch, and they do have a 7.0.0425 patch, however at this time, it only removes the ads from the bottom of the 'Contact Window', but not the "Text Ad" within/at the bottom of the the 'Conversation Window' (Presently there is a 'Customize your MSN Messenger' link which is referred to as a adbar in the code)...so theunknown is going to get in touch with Rolando to see if they can get this patch updated to remove all traces of 'ads'...
