Wow. I'd love to.... have the money to do that! Of course, if I did have the money to do that, there's no guarantee that I would do that.

I've been reading this thread, but didn't really have anything to add until now:

The thing about the online world is that you never really know who you're chatting with. Look at the case of the mother who created an entirely fake persona to chat up the teenage girl down the street (who later committed suicide when the fake boy dumped her). Sad.

It's hard for me to relate to stories of people being duped by online contacts since I remember thinking at a very young age that typing and pictures are not sufficient conditions to know who you're really talking to. Even voice and video can be forged, although they can start to get you closer to the truth.

Taking a different spin on your cartoon though - I get a kick out of the situations where an adolescent online "couple" meets in real life, and they don't know how to act, so they just part ways and reconvene online

Ever hooked up with anyone from MySpace?

I've only had a page for a month, and when I started I wasn't that interested- I didn't think I'd use it much.I'm on all the time. I love the pictures, the pages, I love looking for people I went school with and seeing what they watch on TV.On the plus side I've found some old friends I haven't seen in a while. On the minus side I'm missing a lot of sleep.
