Worm Mugly

I have a Worm Mugly and I have no clue how to get rid of it. I have tried a few programs that might help to get rid of it but no luck. Any suggestions or programs that will help with the removal? Thank you so much in advance!

http://sophos.com/support/disinfection/filvir.html#2 "SAV32CLI.exe" is a command line virus scanner. you may want to read about it before use. http://www.av-comparatives.org/forum...opic.php?t=180 lists more command line options.

AVG Free Edition and avast! Home Edition are both great free virus scanners, you may want to install/use one of them as your primary virus scanning tool.

as far as i know there is no "removal tool" for "Mugly", but there are so many variants, i really haven't spent lots of time looking for one. w32.mugly family.

hopefully these "tips" will help you remove "Worm Mugly" from your computer.

check that your hosts file isn't "infected" with lots of "junk" before you visit any "security sites". on windows xp/me the hosts file can be seen by typing this inside the run box (start>>run, windows key+r) "notepad %windir%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts". the only line that "needs" to be in there is "127.0.0.1 localhost".

make sure you keep your windows up to date by visiting http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com often, or by enabling automatic windows updates (right click on my computer(on the desktop)>>properties>>automatic updates, make sure the automatic radio button is selected).
