Nagging problem adding YIM buddies

I'm sure this isn't the first time you've all heard of this problem. Still, I've yet to find an answer to the problem...

I just reloaded my system and when I try to re-add a Yahoo buddy to Pidgin I get this error message:

"Could not add Buddy to server list"

This problem is annoying. I can add buddies from MSN and GoogleTalk without a problem but Yahoo always gives me this error. Does anyone know what the solution is? Is it a problem with the Yahoo servers?

What version of Gaim/Pidgin are you using? If you're not using the most recent version of Pidgin (2.0.1), install it. Home | Pidgin

Hi there... I'm running pidgin 2.3.1 and have the same issue with one yahoo user... i have lots of other yahoo folks working no problem... but this one buddy gives me the error "Could not add buddy to server list"
