Many of you have probablly used
Desktop Sidebar, the program that puts a Longhorn-style feature to your desktop. And many of you may use the news feature, which gives you streaming news from tons of news sources across the world. Well, I present to you - The BBB Desktop Sidebar. It shows all of the forums onto the sidebar, so you dont even have to come to the site. When a new message is posted, you'll get a notification very similar to the ones used in AIM. You can then hover your mouse over the story, and it will come up in a little box (See screenshots). I would like to get some BBB themes on here, too, but that wont be until tomorrow at least. Enjoy!
BBB Desktop News Version 1.0
INSTRUCTIONS FOR DOWNLOAD:
-right click link above
-Save As
-Save in My Documents (or folder of choice)
-Open Desktop Sidebar
-right click and click "add panel"
-Select "Newsroom"
-right click the word "Newsroom" with the globe next to it on the sidebar
-click "Panel Properties"
-Click "Other" >> "Import Channels"
-Find the file (BBB) and open it
-Enjoy! I suggest turning pop-up alerts on the "Rules" tab in panel properties, and "show article text in details window" under the "View" tab.

I haven't any problems with it taking up too much space yet, and it auto-hides when your mouse isn't over it. You can download it here:
