BigBlueBall.com T-Shirt Design Contest
Your task is simple: Create a t-shirt design for BigBlueBall using your favorite image editing software. Your design should incorporate something related to BigBlueBall.com and/or instant messaging. The winner will get his/her design printed on a t-shirt and added to the BigBlueBall Store, plus: You win a free t-shirt with YOUR design on it! Full details below.
Rules and Regulations- Your design may incorporate one of the following designs:
- Front Only Style: One image on the front of a t-shirt.
- Back Only Style: One image on the back of a t-shirt.
- Front-Back Combo Style: A miniature "pocket image" on the front, and a large image on the back (The two images may be different).
- ALL IMAGES SHOULD BE 2000 x 2000 PIXELS AT MINIMUM. This is to ensure the highest quality t-shirt when they are printed.
- You may submit 3 (three) designs total. Any more after the first three will be ignored.
- To submit your design, BigBlueBall.com recommends using ImageShack or PhotoBucket.
- If you would like to make your image transparent, please use a white background.
- Acceptable file formats for submission are: JPEG and PNG. These were chosen because of their high quality. (Note: When using the JPEG format, please be sure to set the quality to maximum)
- No obscenities, extreme violence, nudity, or any adult material shall be submitted. Breaking this rule will disqualify you from the contest (and your submissions will be deleted).
- The contest will run until March 15th, 2007 at 11:59PM EST from the time of this post.
- The judges are Spike, MrEggsalad, and Jeff. The judges have been chosen because of their computer graphic knowledge and skills. The judges will not be participating in the contest.
- To submit your entry, please use this thread. Please do not use this thread for discussion! Any post which is off-topic and not a submission will either be deleted or moved to this thread.
- As always, no purchase necessary, void where prohibited, must be 13 years of age or older to participate. Judges reserve the right to deny any submission based on quality or content.
- Current staff members are excluded from this contest. We want YOU, the member, to drive this contest, not us, because it's not about us. It's about you, the member. So get to work!
Winners and Prizes
On March 15th, both threads will be locked to alert everyone that the contest has been closed. After this time, the judges will ask both the premiere members and the staff members (excluding the judges) to vote on each design. After 1 week of voting, the judges will decide on first, second, and third place winners (with help from the voting results) and will be announced accordingly. The prizes are as follows:
- First Place: A free BigBlueBall T-Shirt with the first place design concept on it, and a free 1-year* Premiere Membership to BigBlueBall.com.
- Second Place: A free BigBlueBall T-Shirt with the first place design concept on it.
- Third Place: A free BigBlueBall.com mouse pad OR coffee mug (you decide which).
* If member already has premiere status, subscription will be extended by 1 year.
