Skype is blocked in UAE. Any web messenger or something?

Hi!
I'm trying to get connected to skype from UAE, but the web site is bloqued and also the program doesn't work. I tried to find a web messenger, but in all forums is saying that there's no one. I do not need to "call" but I really would like to get a Chat with some people from my chat.

There's anybody who can help me?

Hi Virginia,

Did you mean Skype is "blocked?" Anyway there's a host of other IM clients that will enable you to use voice and/or video chat, including Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, AIM, etc. If you want a multi-protocol IM, try Pidgin or Trillian.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems like you're looking for a way to chat with contacts already using the Skype protocol. I have not used it, but it seems like there is a plugin for Trillian Pro called SkyLlian that allows you to do this. Just a heads up, though: Trillian Pro is not free. If you decide to try this, let us know how it goes. Good luck!
