Who would win?

So I'm sitting in Berlin Zoo, chewing over the important issues of the day with my good fiend Red Devil, when the ultimate question strikes...

Mano e mano, which animal is the one whose always going to come out on top?

A vital question indeed, now discounting the obvious choice (a penguin, superior intelligence will always win out), which animal is most likely to emerge as victor.

The obvious winner according to Red Devil, would be the mighty Hippo, weighing in at 3 1/2 tons, bullet proof skin, irate by nature and capable of outrunning a human it's truly a mighty foe!

But can it match that cunning predator, my arctic foe, the polar bear, weighing in at over half a ton with a fearsome array of weapons in it's teeth and claws, coupled with a mean and cunning intelligence surely this polar beast can overcome any overgrown pig!

Then other animals were thrown into the mix, the cunning and ferocious tiger, the powerful elephant, the poisonous snake... the deadly creatures around are numerous but who would be victorious.

So in the great spirit of past disputes we decided to lay this argument before you the forum, anonymous internet arbiter... so consider carefully and decide... who would you really want fighting your corner?

Cunning & deadly, able to hide where others may not - you may never even see it coming. The snake will win.

Heya Crazy Penguin! LONG time no post - how you been? Missed your interesting posts.

As for your question, I'd almost agree with your penguin winning hands down even if he's not in the poll and I'd maybe agree with the polar bear only because it's Heather's nickname on here (and she's super strong and smart!) but I'll have to go with the real winner - the tiger! (And I swear it's not because I love tigers..... )

I told my psychiatrist that everyone hates me. He said I was being ridiculous - everyone hasn't met me yet.

I agree with Nessa - Just because my school mascot was the tigers doesn't mean I chose it either! *cough* Tiger PRIDE! *cough*

Anyways...Here is my logic on why the Tiger would come out on top:

The Tiger is overall, in my opinion, a more fierce animal than any of the other competitors. It can probably run faster than the others (not sure for certain - correct me if I am wrong please) and is just generally awesome and will kick butt whenever challenged. I also believe that the Tiger is also a beautiful, stunning and amazing creature in the Animal Kingdom.

The tiger would win, paws down. No contest. Though I'm not sure I quite like the "coward" part of your description. *shakes head*

I actually voted for the penguin, who would most likely avoid the conflict altogether and end up the last animal standing after all the others tore themselves to pieces.

It seems the Tiger is coming out on top of this poll .... the infamy!

The tiger's skull is a fragile thing, which will quickly be shattered on encounter with a bears mighty fist, or the hippo's ponderous hoof. On abandoning it's stealthy approach it will be quickly quashed by any opponent. And I'm pretty sure a polar bear could outrun a hippo

The snake I can see more of an arguement for, but I argue upon attack it would quickly be crushed to death, so would lose it's life in any potential victory, which I would say is no true victory at all!

Hey to everybody who remembers me, but it seems the forum has changed drastically in my absence, I'm off to create a topic for you all to fill me in

The Tiger will come out on top of any poll ever.

While the skull may or may not be a fragile thing, no opponent would have a chance to crush it, much less see its own impending doom as the tiger works its magic.
