    recent posts

    hi
i visit BBB regularly mostly to read whats new on the post. usually I dont have enough time to go to all forums and then go into each folder and see whats new...so I take a glimpse at recent post...unfortunatly I miss out many post everyday just because they are being pushed down by other posts which are always coming so even the new post like an hour ago can be lost there...now whenever I visit I have no choice but to go through recent column which is very short indeed with the amount of posts you get ...and for daily one time visiter like me only gets to see only the posts that are there at that perticular time of my visit....now I wanted to make a suggestion: could you make a daily section where all the recent posts are gathered at daily basis and moved to there respective forums after atleast 24 hour?..it would be help for people like me who dont want to miss anything but still have to just because I cant visit regulerly to check all day......
    thanks

Its a good idea, and i'm sure you're not the only one who misses out on posts. But, where you say they should be moved to their respective forums after 24 hours, I think on the home page, the recent posts list, all threads there are already in their respective forums. Perhaps there could be a link at the bottom of the recent posts box to say, "Today's Posts". Which then would basically be like an extended version of the recent posts box. But yes, I like the idea. See what Jeff thinks...

Sounds like a good idea to have. I am not sure if this can be done for Snitz boards like it is possible with phpBB, Invision Power, vBulletin, Ultimate Bulletin Board and etc.

I don't understand your point. Go to the Active Topics page (active.asp) and set the 'Active Topics Ssince...' to 12hrs, or whenever your last visit is. You don't miss any posts that way.
