Re: Active Topics (New Posts Section)
I agree, it's much easier to pin down what topics you want to post on from the old active topics forum. I know many people have put this site into much thinkin about how the way it works but... It sure does take a while in getting used to it, because navigating from topic to topic is not the way it was before.

Re: Active Topics (New Posts Section)
Yeah i agree, active topics was far superior...
and on the subject of improvements... i've been confused many times by peoples signatures as the lack of a seperators makes it seem like part of the post, so perhaps people could start putting something into to break teh two apart? However all in all a good job has been done by all, so please don't do more work if you don't want too... but active topics would be nice... <Crazy Penguin: Approves of the new look> "Everything I say is guaranteed to be unsubstantiated, unjustified, untrue, and undeniably insane" For more nuggets of penguiny wisdom go to Crazy Penguin's Tip of the Day My blog |

I do not navigate the forum via forum to forum searching for threads to reply to. That being said, the only way I do search, is through Active Topics (new posts), unless I search for posts in MSN Messenger that have 0 replies every Sunday.
The forums being categorized by forum made it easier for me to decide to pay more attention to the forums I moderate and the ones I enjoy to read (off topic forums). This new system scrambles the posts, and makes it very hard to look for ones you are only interested in posting in, and really I have missed several in MSN Messenger due to not noticing them. Also, not having the time table sort of sucks, in case of lost internet connection, or closing of the browser by accident. Then I AM forced to for forum by forum to read threads. And lastly is the inability to 'mark all threads as read' within 'New Posts'. I know that every new thread is bolded, and ones you have read are not, but being able to mark them as read in 'New Posts' rather than having to navigate to the forums' home to mark them would be very handy. - my $4.81 kthxbye. I don't find it that bad, but I did appreciate the organized look of Snitz's Active Topics.
And Det, just use the Quick Links drop menu to mark all forums as read.
