How do you edit your AIM profile?

Here are the basic instructions for editing your profile:[list=1][*]Launch AOL Instant Messenger and login (if not already running)[*]From the 'My AIM' menu, select 'Edit Profile'[*]The 'Searchable Directory' fields are optional, but allow other users to search for you. Just be aware that whatever information you provide here will be publicly available.[*]The next screen is the 'Chat Interests,' which are also optional. These allow other people to find you by your interest.[*]The final screen is titled 'More Options.' This is what most people are refer to as their profile. You can just type text in the text field, although it will accept some HTML code.</ol id=1>
Once you've finished, your profile is available. Note that users can only view your profile while you're online.

Lol, Great instructions Jeff... But this is the Trillain Forum.
So I'm assuming hes asking how to edit it with Triallin

1. Click the little AIM Icon in the bottom with the other program Icons.
2. (If you have more than one SN, first go to the SN you want to edit) Go to the Personal Options tab.
3. Go to the Edit Profile tab.
4. From here it is the same as in AIM, first 2 are optional, and 3rd is your profile.

*With Trillian it doesn't allow you to use colors or HTML in your profile.<img src=icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle>

Yeah, I just saw AIM the first time I read it, and read your message, and thought "Yup, thats good instructions". Then I looked more closely. Oh well, now we have instructions for both AIM and Trillian.

the only problem with that, is it goes away after you logoff trillian and back on...any ideas there?

The profile will save if you use the round world looking icon and click Exit from there. If you use the task bar icon to close it doesn't save the new profile. It creates a temporary file with the new profile when you create it, but doesn't copy it over when exited from the taskbar, only the world icon. Guess it's just a bug they don't know about.
