Hey ppl!~ Im new herre, i was just wondering wut are some other neat stuff u can do with trillian? Thanx so much!! :-D

Hey LunaticGirl... I moved your post to our Trillian forum. <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

Trillian's got some great features. Of course it works with all the big IMs (AIM, MSN, Yahoo, ICQ), but it also lets you sign in with multiple screen names (like cloning).

One cool thing is that you can setup alerts for your buddies, so you get notified when they come online... and it works regardless of what IM system they use.

It also can keep logs of your chats, something AOL and MSN don't do by themselves.

Hmmmm.... it's got tons of cool skins. And it also has it's own emoticons; some really different ones.

Well it all depends on what you consider "neat"...

Trillian doesn't have any amazing "tricks" (like MSN) as I recall...

No add-ons......
No retarded screennames....

if you wanna consider it amazing.. the only thing I can think of is that you can create multiple accounts under a medium and be signed into as many ... lets say MSN accounts all at the same time.... nothing special......

Oh... and you can choose any font color you want... not really significant but it's cool to choose some bright color like purple or orange or.....

Oh yeah, you can use Trillian to do IRC chat (if that's your thing). In fact... it does a damn good job as an IRC client, since that was the original idea that spawned Trillian.

As for Trilly - Oh yeah.. as well.... Auto-Responses for when you're away or busy or anything.... (but you need to either set up new ones or activate the pre-set ones)

... but you probably already knew that..... so all I'm doing is making a total idiot of myself here........

Someone wanted to know something 'neat' about Trillian, being as though I am on the security nut of the bunch I will list some things I find very 'neat' about Trillian:

1) HTML and JAVA SCRIPT codes used succession does not 'boot' you off line, like it does with some IM clients (most noticible in AIM and Yahoo!).

2) Your character buffer is larger than that of most commercial IM clients.

3) Multiple logins per medium is nice

4) Does not prohibit you to send multiple succession has most IM clients do to prohibit 'flooding'.

5) You set your away messages for all mediums with a few clicks, and its done all at the same time.

6) You can 'dock' Trillian to right side of your screen.

Hey..
I just remembered about this one. Trillian is capable of emotes/IRC commands in all mediums.

For example - If I type in a IM the following with my screenname being set to "Anna"...
/me shrugs her shoulders
I will see...
*Anna shrugs her shoulders
....After I send the message. Neat Eh? No not really but what the heck.

But one catch - it only works with other Trillian users to my knowledge. No it's not compatible with MSN Messenger Plus' IRC feature as far as I know.
