LOL, You can't blame them, they need some money. I don't think they will totally stop with the free version, they'll just boost the advertising for the non-free one more.
While using Trillian I encountered this pop-up message:
By only reading the first paragraph - I started freaking out thinking 'Omigosh is my Trillian going to stop working now?!'.....
All thanks to the Cerulean crew for capatalizing the word NEED. I can understand that with the growing popularity of Trillian - more funds are required. The release of Trillian Pro already is a hint - Trillian may eventually no longer provide free software if their need for funds is so huge in the near, or not so near future. (Either that - or Cerulean Studios is just a big, rich, greedy group who just "pretend" to be "in need" so they can get more green stuff). What do you think will happen? Would you ever pay for Trillian (if you already dont)?
btw, no I don't have a life. The newest major Trillian was released 47(?) days ago. 47x24 hours=1128 hours. I've been online on trillian 742 hours which is... 31 days straight n' non-stop. Okay yes I eat and sleep EVERYDAY.![]()
