Does Yahoo even work anymore on Trillian?

On Trillian when I connect to Yahoo, I can no longer see the users who are connected using Yahoo Messenger, only those who are also using Trillian. When I try to have a webcam conversation with the other user, Trillian crashes.

Is anyone else having the same problems, does Trillian have a patch or something to fix these problems yet?

Trillan works fine for seeing Yahoo members online (as long as you have all the patches/upgrades). Perhaps you have thought it couldn't see yahoo messenger members because they were invisable? But anyway, yes, the Yahoo webcam is bugged. It does not work at all on Trillian anymore. (2.01 atleast, I'm not sure about 2.0...but 2.0 has other bugs). The webcam quality on trillian is poor anyways, so there is no real point in using it, even if it did work.

Freddie, I would be able to see you online if you also use Trillian.

Well, I have downloaded Yahoo Messenger and when I logon to that, I can see people online, that are not invisible. But on Trillian, they don't appear to be online at all, only the ones who also use Trillian.

I use Trillian Pro 2.0 and I'm unaware of any new yahoo patches for it. The last time I remember downloading one, was when Trillian immediately crashed when I logged into Yahoo...and I believe that was during September '03...longtime ago.

Are the any new Yahoo patches since then, and what's the filename for it?

Hi
I am still having problems with Trillian 2.0 and
Yahoo. If I leave the servers as is, its connects but no contacts show (no they are not in invis mode )
I have the patch from last Oct, and I tried using different Yahoo servers and then my password fails.
Very disappointed at this point; I really enjoyed Trillian, any other suggestions out there?
Thanks

Go into account preferences, and on the connection tab chage the sever to scs.msg.yahoo.com . On version 2.01 this should already be the server.

Nope. Changing it to scs.msg.yahoo.com doesn't work. It tries to connect, then says that I have an invalid password.

Is your port set to 5050? I'm using scs.msg.yahoo.com, port 5050 and it's working great!
