Trillian Pro problem with MSN messages

I have recently been having problems with my Trillian Pro v2.013 (latest version I think).

Whenever I attempt to send a message to someone else who is using MSN, usually MSN 6.2, the message just doesn't go through. I've signed on with my username onto MSN messenger and it's fine, so it must be Trillian, not MSN. I've also signed on myself with a second MSN username onto MSN and send messages back and forth from Trillian to MSN and sometimes it works fine, and sometimes the messages just don't go through.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is this a known problem or something in one of my settings? Maybe something in my firewall, etc?

Any help would be appreciated.

AV

Have you installed the latest patch for Trillian Pro? I know once there was one released to fix MSN issues so maybe the newest one has those fixes along with others. Try downloading it at their site.

Thanks.

The only patch I can see is patch 2.013 which is for the Yahoo connectivity.

I have no problem with connectivity, just for message sending.

I'm still having no luck. I don't know if it may be something with my firewall, antivirus, port settings, etc, but I've tried to uninstall, reinstall latest version of Trillian Pro, etc, but no luck.

I have seen a few people reporting this. If your subscription hasn't expired I suggest you try Trillian 3, which seems to fix this bug.

Thanks Jim.

I did want to get Trillian 3 but I wanted to wait until they release skins for it as I absolutely detest the original skins!! Once customised skins are released, I'll be most certainly getting Trillian 3.

I assume this is just a fault in Trillian Pro 2 then and there's nothing I can do?

I found a partial solution which is to connect to MSN, and then change to port 80. However, whilst that works, when you reconnect to Trillian you need to reset the port back, connect, and then to 80, as 80 doesn't let you connect.

Just some food for thought.
