Trillian on a network of two computers

Several months ago I used Trillian all the time.......everything went absolutely fine for many months (possibly a year)........then all of a sudden I started getting these messages from people I don't know......many people.....they would pop up and say Hi or whatever but I would always block them.........then I stopped using Trillian altogether.

Now my nephew (who I IM'd with a lot) wants me to get back on Trillian or another IM program......so we can IM....like before.

My question (finally) is this: Since I still have Trillian installed on one of my two computers (they're networked via hardwire).......what is the easiest way to load Trillian so it will have all of my buddy's or whatever Trillian calls them without having to reload them on this one computer again.....or is this possible?

I have not yet loaded Trillian on the computer I built (and use) but is still loaded on my old computer which my wife uses.....and it still works on that computer.

I need some good Trillian advice/help/support. Is there an easy way to do this?

How can I prevent these Trillian intruders? And what do you think caused them to start sending me IM's all of a sudden after so long?

What network were these people IMing you on? You can try changing your privacy settings to allow for only people on your contact list to talk to you.

Trillian doesn't use any registry settings, so you can just copy the install directory (Likely c:\program files\trillian) to the new computer, and create a link that points to trillian.exe. The file that keeps your contact aliasing information is (install directory)\users\default\buddies.xml, if you have a single user setup. If you don't know or can't find it, just search for buddies.xml.
