Skype is one of, if not the most popular VoIP client out there. It allows you to make free, high-quality phone calls to your Skype friends, and you can also buy SkypeIn and SkypeOut minutes or plans to enable incoming and outgoing calls to any landline or cellular phone (you even get your own phone number). Skype also features video and text chat, and if you don't need to make or receive calls to non-Skype users, it's free!
