Webcam works in Yahoo Messenger, but not in Yahoo Chat

Hi. I am very stuck! Could you please help. I use yahoo chat and have done so for many years. My webcam has always worked in the US yahoo and Asian yahoo chat rooms. Recently my computer crashed and I had to reload windows. I had to update to explorer 6 and all the additional updates that went with it. I installed everything as before, webcam drivers, sun java( and i have tried with sun java on and off and using microsoft java as well. ), directx...everything. Then went to the yahoo chat rooms. My webcam box came up, but nothing happened. I cant see my image and I cant view others. No box came up inviting me to install the webcam wrapper etc. However, a box did come up in the US site to say that it cant upload wrapper. In the Asian yahoo chat rooms nothing came up at all, just my webcam viewer box with a red X in the top left corner. I checked the "view objects downloaded" box in internet options, nothing from yahoo is there. I have zone alarm set on medium. Everything is the same as before the crash. I even checked the compatibility checker on the US yahoo help site. MY wecam worked there. But in the room it doesnt work. What do you think is happening? Can anyone give me a clue or clues as to what is wrong? Please help! (ps. I downloaded yahoo messenger, my webcam works there, just doesnt work in the chat rooms..user room and yahoo rooms, my age is over 18)
