Recording at Youtube

Hi, I'm uploading videos to Youtube using their Quick Capture facility, basically it allows you to record a video there and then without having to worry about anything. Trouble is, it always uses the webcam microphone to record the sound instead of my proper microphone, which gives much better sound quality.

It gives me two options to record the sound, webcam or Soundmax (soundcard). No matter what option I choose it always chooses the webcam mic.

I've contacted Youtube about this and they haven't been very helpful. The best they've come up with is to suggest that I disable my webcam microphone, but they don't tell me how to do this, and I can't see anything in Control Panel that allows me to.

I'm not sure if webcam settings are universal on Windows or not, but it might help if we knew which webcam you have.

It's a Packard Bell PB-WC100 USB webcam.

Come on guys i really need to get this sorted out. Kudos to anyone that helps me.

Daz i would consider recording your videos to your hard drive using amcap32 and then upload them onto youtube from there.
