Multiple User Video Conference

Hi All,

I'm a bit stuck for options and h oping you all can help point me in some good directions. My niece who is in the Air Force in South Carolina is pregnant and having a baby shower in May. She wants to share the event with the rest of the family who is spread out in Texas and in California, and was wanting to do a video conference. When she mentioned she planned to use Skype today I remembered that video is (or at least was last i used it) limited to one on one conversations.

Does anyone know of any software that we can use that would allow for multiple user video conference? It would be fine if the webcam broadcast was one way (from her to multiple users) as we can alway use a skype conference call to handle the audio portion if we need to.

The software should be free (as its only going to be used this once), and should be easy to use, as I've got plenty of family that has not a clue about how to use a computer.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

I'm currently feeling

You can do multi-point webcam conferencing with iChat (on the Mac) or with Paltalk on PCs. There might be other solutions, but those are two I'm aware of.

Oovoo will support up to 6 people in video conference in the free version from what I can tell. I've used it a time or 2 in the past and the quality is fine.
