Google Talk Unleashed! Google Talk, the long-awaited instant messenger from the Internet giant is now out! I'm impressed with their initial effort, and I think when they add the ability to connect to MSN, AIM, Yahoo, et. al. they claim a major share of the IM market. Google Talk is worth a look. MSN Messenger 7.5 Final Released Microsoft has released an update to their popular Instant Messaging client MSN Messenger. With the release of MSN Messenger 7.5, Microsoft has added a couple new features... Skype Releases IM Development Tools In the wake of Google's IM announcement, CNET News.com reports that VoIP giant Skype is now letting Web sites and others Internet applications tap into the untold millions of people using Luxemburg-based company's instant-message feature. The company on Wednesday unleashed its SkypeWeb and SkypeNet developer tools. By doing so, Skype says it's opening up its platform to people who wants to integrate Skype Instant Messaging--a lesser-known feature of Skype--into their applications. PC World Recommends BigBlueBall Yep, the February '05 issue of PC World magazine gave us the one of the nicest compliments. In his article titled "Inside Instant Messaging," Steve Bass writes "And if you're an IM fanatic (as I am) log on to BigBlueBall... for the latest news on everthing IM." We knew it all along, Steve... detn8r says... "The newsletter format sucks!" Ok, ok Graham. I hear you. I feel your pain. And I refreshed the layout. Do you approve? New AIM Today Adds Feeds; Tabbed Browsing AIM 5.9 for Windows users were treated to an updated AIM Today screen that goes far beyond the previous capabilities. While the AIM Today screen received a facelift, the real upgrade is in the incorporation of AOL Explorer. The new AIM Today screen is powered by AOL Explorer -- a web browser based on Internet Explorer -- and includes features such as tabbed browsing, access to your AIM.com email (which now gives you 2GB of free email), and easy access to RSS feeds...
