A woman didn't come home one night. The next day she told her husband that she had slept over at a friend's house. The husband called his wife's ten best friends. None of them had seen her or knew what he was talking about.

Men's Friends:

A man didn't come home one night. The next day he told his wife that he had slept over at a friend's house. The wife called her husband's 10 best friends. Eight of them confirmed that he had slept over, and two claimed that he was still there!

Now that's just not realistic from my experience, Shrek.

I think it's more likely that out of ten friends the one she had already asked to back her story up would do so; only a bloke would be stupid enough not to have already arranged an alibi before he got home.

Ditto Leo, and she would have said she spent the night with so-and-so and he would have made just one call . . . either that, or the husband doesn't pay enough attention (stereotype) so doesn't know who his wife's friends actually are. Ah, perhaps the joke is there.

But he doesn't need to, only one of those guys has to be "telling the truth" for it to work out, the rest just have his back. Can't blame a guys friends for their own lies, he didn't do anything wrong.
