Microsoft, like most software companies, has a policy of keeping release dates a secret, giving them some flexibility in case an 11th hour bug is discovered. In spite of that, several websites are reporting that Windows Live Messenger will be officially released on June 16. This final release is expected to include Yahoo! Messenger text chat interoperability as previously reported. BigBlueBall has not confirmed this date with Microsoft, but if accurate, it could mean a brand-new Messenger is headed toward your PC very soon.
