Messenger Plus! Live 4.21 released!

Patchou has done it again and this time Messenger Plus! Live is celebrating its 6th anniversary too! What may seem like a small update contains a lot of promising new features.

If you aren't aware what Messenger Plus! Live is, you are surely missing out. It is a nice little add-on for Windows Live Messenger that adds an impressive number of new features. Take a little peek at what this amazing little add-on is capable of and I think you'll find you can't live without it.

But first, here's what Patchou had to say about his baby - or should we say pie? (or at least, something in the oven...):

"Messenger Plus! Live 4.21 has been released! yeah! a new version! baked so recently that you may burn yourself if you click on the download button too quickly (consider yourself warned). Once served, the first thing you’ll notice is that it contains less fat than before with a total weight of only 3.7MB per portion: it’s healthier for your internet connection and your computer won’t taste the difference."

Usually when a program gets smaller, it means features have been cut. Luckily, that's not the case with this release of Messenger Plus! Live. Infact, not only does this release contain some minor bug fixes, but a few other things:

• Support for the emoticon
• Better development environment for script writers
• New notifications for opened conversations
• Improved chat logging for some users
• A new Turkish translation
• But last by not least... the new Messenger Plus! Live 6th Anniversay Contest!

For those of you that want EVEN MORE, Patchou is way ahead of you. Messenger Plus! Live includes Scripting Support that allows its users to extend its functionality.

Reminder+

A useful little reminder program. Brings back memories of the old Scheduler from Messenger Plus! 3

Plus!Mail

This script allows you to easily send emails to people using the email you are currently logged in as, without having to leave Windows Live Messenger!

Stat Center

Stat Center intuitively monitors all your and your contact's activities. These activities are logged and are generated into statistics which can be easily and clearly viewed. Through using the Plus! icon, you can access Stat Center's statistics area which allows you to view all your contacts statistics. General, conversation, actions and heaps more statistics are shown and even more are displayed if you are viewing your own statistics. You can also access your contact's statistics directly from the conversation window by typing in the command '/showstats' or alternatively by clicking 'Contact Statistics...' in the Plus! conversation menu.

Uh...it lets you gather an impressively LARGE amount of statistics of your experience on/with Windows Live Messenger.

Messenger Plus! Live 6th Anniversary Contest

"In this new version, you’ll probably notice something else that’s new and if you read the previous news post, chances are that you already guessed what it is: a special “gold” Messenger Plus! icon has been added in the contact list and it’s the icon you’ll soon have to click on to access the very special 6th anniversary contest! I know some of you were expecting the contest to open on the same day of the release but you’ll have to wait a little more. The contest is in its final test phase, it’s big, very big, and because people will be required to have the new 4.21 version to participate, it has been decided that everything will start about a week from now."
