Uhh i regret using it, it's FULL of bugs but I'll list them later.

The road to success is always under construction.

Hmm...I downloaded the latest Beta version of WLM8.5 and installed it on top of my existing WLM8.1. So far, I can report that everything is running smoothly...however, I'm not using webcam or voice, so can't report on any possible bugs there.

My above observations are just FYI. If you're not sure, or don't like taking risks, it's probably best to wait until Microsoft releases the final version of WLM8.5 (which will take a few months, I'm guessing)

Messenger 8.5 Beta

When "allow auto sign-in when connected to the internet" is selected -- in this release unlike previous -- connection always comes up with me off-line. Cannot find a way to set to always come up on-line. This is an issue for DSL connects which are sometimes drop and then reestablish themselves. This relates to Version 2008 Build 8.5.1288816
