A-Patch for Windows Live Messenger 9 Wave 3 Released!
A-Patch is a lightweight program designed to enhance your Windows Live Messenger experience. It does this by giving you a multitude of options, over 56, which allow you to customize the look and feel of Windows Live Messenger, even change some functions.

I'm usually an avid user of Mess Patch (and most likely will reinstall a clean Messenger) and will switch over when the full version is released.

It's holding the fort to say the least, and my Messenger is almost exactly how I want it. If only I could get rid of the "Groups" menu!
