MSN Plus compatibility with MSN 6.0.

I recently downloaded the official MSN 6.0 Preview and I noticed that Messenger Plus is not compatible with it, I was wondering if there is any way to make Plus compatible, or if anyone knows of any sort of solution to this problem, apart from having to go back to MSN 5.0.

Yeah. I downloaded Messenger Plus, and it is not compatible with MSN Messenger 6.0.

I guess we would have to wait until Patchou release the one that will work with MSN Messenger 6.0. I guess that he'll release that in less than a month from now or so.

Less than a month?
I dont think so.
He released to us that its going to take him about one or two more months to finish it up. It wont be long after the final release of v6 on July 17th.

Plus provides a wide range of added features, some of which are now built into MSN Messenger 6. What features of Plus are you looking for? Custom away messages? The boss key? Quick keys?

Give us some idea of what you want and maybe we can offer an alternative. Don't hold your breath though... most add-ons will need to be retooled to work properly with 6.0.

Yeah ok, the main feature of Plus that I did use were the auto-message for when you are away. I also used the lock messenger function quite a lot as this is a shared computer. So now you know what features I most commonly used, would you be able to offer an alternative or would it just be better to wait for the next release of Plus?
Thanks.

You can configure MSN Messenger to automatically change your status to "Away" after a predetermined number of minutes of inactivity.

As for locking MSN, if you're using XP, consider setting up multiple user accounts for XP. Then you can simply press Windows-L to lock your entire desktop. This will also automatically set your Messenger status to "Away."
