Hi guys I have XP Home and I can't get a voice conversation to work. I've done a search rtcdll.dll and my version is 5.2.4949.2180
And it is the winSxS folder under x86_Microsot.Windows. Networking folder
Can you tell me how to fix this problem as the wife would like to hold a conversation with our daughter in university

New here,
Is the file on the site no longer available, or I should do something to get it since I don't see it there. Hoping to get it working without having to install older version of MSN
Thanx

I have Windows XP on my computer, version 6.2(6.2.0205) of MSN Messenger and one copy of the RTCDLL.DLL file (version 5.1.2600.0) stored in C:\4f5e684212efa4e9. I tried MSN Messenger yesterday and was able to send a conversation, using the Audio selection in MSN, to another computer that uses Windows ME. I cannot transfer video to that computer but I can send Webcam pictures and Audio at the same time. However, prior to this I have carried out the various adjustments described in earlier pages (1...6?) of this thread and listed on the pages of a similar thread in the Dell Forums. (see my posting of 11/3/2005).
