I can't add contacts!!

I am running messenger 6.2 and all of a sudden when i try to add a contact to my list it won't let me and it says that my list is full but i only have like 20 people on my list!! Has anyone heard about this and if so could they please offer me a solution!! Thx for your help!

Log into your hotmail and then check your contact lists from there. It's possible that many names have been added to your list while replying to e-mails. Even if these "contacts" are not on your messenger list, they count against your total. You will have to delete a few entries from there. (your hotmail's contact list)

Really? I never knew that.

I always thought it was:

Your allow list is full, meaning anyone you added to your MSN Messenger account, deleted and blocked. They're all still in your allow list.

I don't believe Hotmail automatically adds people to your MSN Messenger contact list when sending emails to them..but I could be wrong.
