MSN Messenger 7.0 (BETA) - Display Picture Problem

I'm using MSN Messenger 7.0 (BETA) and am having serious problems when I try and add a new display picture. The photo ends up upside down, in black and white and split into lots of lines. Any ideas what the problem could be?

Does it do this to every image file, or just a certain one? What type of image files are you trying to add?

Try uninstalling and re-installing messenger and see if that works. You could also search for any spyware and viruses.

It's doing it to every image file that I've tried to add. They are all jpegs. The images that I used when I had version 6.2 still work, it's just the ones I've tried to add since running 7.0. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling but that didn't work.
