Hi Sector and welcome,
Good post. I hope we can find a solution together ![]() First look if there is a proxy server enabled in Internet Explorer or MSN Messenger. For MSN Messenger go to Tools, Options.., Connection and clear the "I use a proxy" box if it is enabled. If not check Internet Explorer. Open it and click Tools, Internet Options..., go to Connections tab, select your connection and click Settings. At the screen that pops up look if "Use a proxy server is enabled...". If that didn't work maybe you can connect your computer directly to the internet and see if it works then. If it does work a router hardware reset might work, also make sure that you have the latest router firmware installed. If not you can try to reinstall Internet Explorer. To reinstall Internet Explore put your Windows XP disk in cd player. Then go to Start, Run and enter the following command: rundll32.exe setupapi,InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 132 c:\windows\inf\ie.inf Hope this helped. |
