MSN without Internet Explorer (IE)

We had problems with our broadband as we had had IE with a dial up connection it wanted to connect to access the internet. although was an always on connection.

So we now have a different browser Mozilla Firefox and when i try to go into MSN Beta it will not work as it is trying to connect as it thinks explorer has to be online to connect. I have tried to delete explorer but it still says the same thing! ' We could not sign you into MSN Messenger because Internet Explorer is set to work offline. Please cahnge the setting on your browser's file menu and try again. 81000362'

Any help apprectiated!

In Internet Explorer:

File > Make sure "Work Offline" does not have the check mark next to it. If it does, just click it, and it'll change itself.

Also, you can't delete Internet Explorer, and by "Always-on", it doesn't mean you don't have to connect.
