Offline messaging in MSN

For those of you that had always wanted to send messages to offline contacts, this is the way you can achieve it without any mobile use involved.

Go to www.offlinemessenger.com

The instructions on the site are plain and simple, you click on the mirrors section and from there you choose one of the online bots and add it to your contacts list in msn.

It has to be online in order for the offline messaging to work. Once you've reached that point, open a conversation window with the bot and follow the instructions it provides to start sending messages.

Happy offline messaging.

The road to success is always under construction.

I've gotten wind of a rumour that there's a better service in the works, if this is so I can't wait.

I tried sending an offline message from one MSN Messenger account to another, but never recieved it. I did get confirmation that the message was saved, but never received it. Has anyone successfully received offline messages with this?

Edit: It appears that all the mirrors are offline (even though the status page says otherwise). Maybe I'll get my offline message when the mirror comes back online?

Yes, it's possible that you'll receive it when the bot comes back online.
I had the same problem too, that even though the bots are online according to their page, it was constantly offline for me but after some point it signs in, u'll just have to wait a bit and it'll appear.

I have sent a few offline messages to different contacts already, some have been received just fine and some haven't.

The road to success is always under construction.
